University of Calgary: IL National Mixer

Hello 1L Students!

While being online during law school is not ideal, it does present the opportunity to connect with others who you would not be able to meet in-person. This situation resulted in the idea to host the first ever national 1L mixer, for law students across the country to connect online and talk about our experiences so far and celebrate almost being done with our first year of law school! This mixer will be held over Zoom with various games, activities, and breakout rooms to meet fellow Canadian common law students.

If you would be interested in participating, please complete the form below for your specific law school. We will begin accepting responses on Wednesday, January 19 at 12:00pm MST. Please also note that due to attendance limitations over Zoom there will be an initial 10-person limit for each law school with an additional waitlist available. The event will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 5:00 pm MST to 6:00 pm MST.

Please also note that this is a pilot event, and there are bound to be some technical issues (Google forms, Zoom, other technical issues, etc…) so for those interested in participating your patience at all stages is appreciated.
