Meet the Creator of Our New Logo

Updated: Nov 8, 2021

Natalie Potvin is also a guest contributor to this issue!

Natalie Potvin is a 2021 JD graduate from UCalgary Law. She is currently completing her articles at Alberta Justice.

Natalie completed her double-major BA in Political Science and Sociology (with distinction) from the University of Alberta. Social and Political issues are her forte, but she is a formidable linguist. Natalie completed her high school in both French and English, and she is a level B2 Spanish speaker.

Earlier this year, the Moot Times opened a new logo contest to all of UCalgary Law’s students via the SLS Fraser Report. Submissions were judged anonymously in April, and Natalie’s vision for the Moot Times’ new logo was the clear winner. This new logo signifies a “redux” for our publication, and its retro-meets-contemporary feel is exactly what the Moot Times is hoping to achieve with our revamped print layout (the “retro”) and new content (the “contemporary”).

This issue contains a spotlight on Natalie’s incredible journey to law as well as a guest contribution of her creating.
